ABOUT

The Neuroscience Institute at Georgia State University promotes research and education in the set of disciplines that have a common interest in understanding the structure and function of the nervous systems of animals, including humans.

Many aspects of the institute, which was just formed in 2008, are still under development. The institute is formed by a group of core faculty and associate faculty in other departments who have a strong interest in neuroscience, as well as affiliated faculty across the university.

We recently established a graduate program in neuroscience, which allows us to offer a doctoral degree in neuroscience.  We are now in the early stages of creating undergraduate major and minor degree programs.
