In collaboration with the Neuroscience Graduate Student Association at
GSU http://groups.google.com/group/gsu-ngsa, the Center for Behavioral
Neuroscience http://www.cbn-atl.org/, and the Atlanta Chapter of the
Society for Neuroscience http://groups.google.com/group/atlantasfn,
and the Collegiate Neuroscience Society
members of GSU's Neuroscience Institute engage in numerous programs for
education about the brain and behavior.
-Sparking enthusiasm about neuroscience education and literacy, particularly for students and teachers in the state of Georgia;
-Increasing awareness about the brain, behavior, and career
opportunities in science;
-Providing K-12 teachers with innovative approaches to teaching science;
-Recruiting and retaining the best students in neuroscience education
-Identifying best practices for teaching science through research on
education curricula and theory.
