Alumni Spotlight: Brian Bondy

Brian Bondy graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience in the fall of 2013. He is currently a graduate student in Neuroscience at the University of Texas at Austin. He states that the undergraduate program at Georgia State University (GSU) well prepared him for the academic rigor of graduate studies. While at GSU, he gained experience in a research laboratory by working with Dr. Gennady Cymbalyuk. In that lab, he learned to code which helped him in future laboratory experiments. After he graduates, he wants to continue working in neuroscience in the private sector. He encourages current students to keep in mind the career track that they want to have while completing their undergraduate degrees. In 2016, Brian co-authored an article that was published in the book “Neuromechanical Modeling of Posture and Locomotion” entitled Control of Cat Walking and Paw-Shake by a Multifunctional Central Pattern Generator.
