Georgia State Nu Rho Psi Chapter wins Chapter of the Year two years in a row

          For the first time in national Nu Rho Psi undergraduate honor society history ( and out of 97 chapters, our Georgia State University Chapter won Chapter of the Year two years in a row. In total, GSU Nu Rho Psi has won Chapter of the Year THREE times (2020, 2019, and 2016 as well).
          In addition, Nu Rho Psi Student Member of the Year is GSU graduate Janavi Ramesh (now at Medical College of Georgia), and a our GSU Chapter also was awarded a Chapter Activity grant for upcoming activities like the online Atlanta Neuroscience Symposium in the Spring.
           Between the symposium and neuroscience art shows, Chapter Faculty advisor Michael Black, Ph.D. adds that “the members of the GSU Nu Rho Psi chapter have been involved in community service with visits to K-12 institutions and organizations including a STEM event at Saint Phillips A.M.E. Church and a public education booth at Discovery Day at Georgia State University. Collectively, they reached thousands of people with neuroscience education. In addition to their public outreach, Nu Rho Psi members have reached out to neuroscience majors by participating in orientation and helping with informational sessions like the graduate school and medical school panels. They have also kept a steady stream of communication through email and word of mouth for events and offerings like internships.
