Jessica obtained her B.S. in Physics and B.S. in Mathematics from Purdue University in Indiana. She then obtained her M.A. in Philosophy, with a concentration in neurophilosophy, here at GSU. She is interested in the physical mechanisms underlying consciousness. She is currently working towards her Ph.D. in Neuroscience in the lab of Dr. Gennady Cymbalyuk by investigating the nonlinear dynamics involved in neural network activity, specifically among neural networks that act as central pattern generators. She also enjoys reading and writing science fiction and various crafts. After graduating, she hopes to pursue a postdoc.
